For 15 minutes today, Alexander McQueen came back to life. In a grand Paris drawing room with soaring white ceilings, the late designer's creations stunned audiences and reaffirmed his greatness.
The last ever collection by McQueen, who died last month at age 40, was the highlight of Paris fashion week. The presentation was attended by a handful of fashion editors. The catwalk was said to serve as a memorial service to a truly great designer.
Never one to shy away from prints, shapes and details, McQueen's final collection referenced Byzantine art, eternity and angels.
