After confessing to fans that he was not feeling "100%," Bret Michaels suffered a massive brain hemorrhage on April 22. The rocker and contestant on the current season of The Apprentice has been under "intense observation" in the ICU.
According to a source, Bret, 47, called for an ambulance because he felt like he was "[getting] hit in the head with a baseball bat over and over again." This type of headache is referred to by doctors as a "thunderclap headache" because of the intensity and suddenness of the pain. Such headaches are a symptom of the kind of brain hemorrhage Bret suffered. The source adds that Bret still has the headache and is heavily sedated in the ICU.
Donald Trump, Bret's boss on The Apprentice, claims to be in touch with people at the hospital. Trump says that he is in "big, big trouble and the prognosis is not great." Bret's reps have not commented on this reports.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
