It may not be the Oscars, but the Tony Awards will be bringing its own share of star power. The past year saw many Hollywood actors leave the film set for the stage, and their acting obviously impressed their audience.
Among the top contenders for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play are Jude Law (Hamlet), Liev Schreiber (A View from the Bridge), Christopher Walken (A Behanding in Spokane) and Denzel Washington (Fences).
The Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical is also star-filled, with Kelsey Grammer (La Cage aux Folles) and Sean Hayes (Promises, Promises) battling for the top prize.
Hollywood actresses have also made the leap to Broadway, with Laura Linney (Time Stands Still) up for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play, Catherine Zeta-Jones (A Little Night Music) for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical and Scarlett Johansson (A View from the Bridge) up for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play.
Will the influx of Hollywood nominations encourage you to watch the broadcast on June 13?
