Century Celebrations

James Cameron's Titanic made a splash at the box office when it was released in 1997. Viewers were captivated by the illicit love story of Rose and Jack and the ill-fated night that the unsinkable ship landed at the bottom of the Atlantic. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking, and to celebrate the 100th birthday of Titanic actress Gloria Stuart, the film is getting the 3-D treatment. Cameron is converting the Oscar-winning film into 3-D for re-release in April 2012. I, for one, cannot wait to watch it again. Just like Celine Dion sang, the Titanic's heart (and box office stamina) will go on and on.

UPDATE: Gloria Stuart, who played the elder Rose, passed away on September 27, 2010 at age 100.
