A List Service

The A List, her man and her ride
With stars infiltrating my backyard, it's easy to feel lost in a swarm of celebrity enthusiasts. The streets of swanky Yorkville Ave. are packed with eager onlookers hoping to get a glimpse of Hollywood's most famous. Helping me stand out from the ever-growing crowd was Cadillac.

The renowned car company generously offered me the use of a black Escalade Hybrid and a driver for my first night on the TIFF town. After picking me and my main man up from my North York home, we proceeded to the Trust gala at Roy Thomson Hall. Ever-present Toronto traffic was a challenge, but thankfully the GPS system helped guide our improvised route.

Upon our red carpet arrival, the crowds went wild, snapping pictures until they realized they aren't yet familiar with this A-Lister. Some cards were handed out, the tickets were upgraded, the stars appeared and the movie began. Only issue was the dead camera battery and the lesson to always charge devices before events.

Saving us from the chilly weather (and my feet from my new Michael Kors!), the Cadillac dutifully drove us around the city. Ending up at the Four Season's The Avenue, we were thrust upon industry insiders and high class celebrity watchers. All in all, the perfect spot for me.

Seated in the Esclade on the drive home was the perfect culmination to a great night. Sinking into the leather seats, adjusting our personal heating system and setting my overworked feet down was pure perfection. Offering everything that an end-of-the-night cab can't, the Escalade was the ideal TIFF car. Only problem - now I want one of my own!
