Lost Numbers

It's been eight months since our favorite island drama went off the air, but the show's mysteries still remain in our minds. One of the most compelling LOST story lines was the numbers. Introduced in season one, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 were first introduced as the numbers Hurley used to win the lottery. Later, it was revealed that the numbers were actually running on a loop from the island and individually popped up time and time again.

While the show may be over, the numbers are still in play. LOST fans continue to play the numbers in weekly lotteries - and this week the numbers won. 41,763 people used Hurley's numbers to win Tuesday night's Mega Millions lottery. The winning numbers were 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and 42. Each winning ticket received $150, but in this case it's the significance that counts - not the numbers.
