Green P

He's been keeping a low profile, but the paparazzi finally got shots of Robert Pattinson in Toronto. The vampire alum is in the city to shoot David Cronenberg's new film, Cosmopolis. Get a glimpse of R-Patz? Send the pictures my way. Don't you love him in Ray Bans?

Jay-Z on B

Jay-Z took to his blog to express his love and admiration for his superstar wife, Beyonce. He posted this homemade video of his wife warming up for her American Idol performance and captioned it with this sweet note:

"Sometimes you need perspective. You've been right in front of greatness so often that you need time to step back and see it again for the first time. This is the dressing room rehearsal for American Idol. NO MICROPHONE. No effects. - Andy WarHOV"

Say it with me now: Aw.

Wills and Kate Do Canada

Prince William and Kate Middleton are coming to Canada! In their first official visit abroad since their April 29 wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be travelling across our home and native land. The photogenic twosome have quite an extensive trip planned (see below) but will not be stopping in Toronto. Seriously - they can visit Yellowknife but they can't venture into A List territory?! Charles and the Queen always make time to stop in Toronto, a tradition Prince William and Kate should consider adopting.

The Visit
The royal couple will visit Ottawa from June 30 to July 2, stop in Montreal and July 2 and Quebec City on July 3 before making their way to Charlottetown. They will then travel to Summerside, P.E.I on July 4, go north to Yellowknife from July 4 to 6 and finish up in Calgary from July 6 to 8.

Their relationship is the worst kept secret in Hollywood, but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez finally made it official at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. The tween idols hugged and kissed after Justin was named Top New Artist at the Las Vegas awards show. They do make quite a cute couple...

Blind Items

"This B list television actress who does movies sometimes has an interesting family history. ANyway, her mom does whatever she can to make a buck off her daughter. Selling stories is easy money. Selling free swag on eBay, and now she has tried selling some half naked photos of her daughter that were taken when her daughter was trying on clothes for a fitting. She thinks she can blame it on one of the designer's staff." [CDaN]

"Which A list actor has become a 'Scientology robot' controlled by his wife after she introduced him to the church, according to his friends?" [P6]

"C List celebrity that lives in LA that got her start on reality TV claims to be the occassional mistress of someone taking a lot of heat for infidelity right now. She is planning to either sell her story and wait to write a tell-all book, so news won't be kept under wraps for long." [Buzz Foto]

"This actor has been in several TV series over the years. Since he will be taking a lead role in the series next season, the network arranged a meet and greet with him at the upfronts (a series of meetings where the networks present their television shows to the advertisers). The actor stated downing beers early, and by the time of the meet and greet, he was drunk. Now, our actor started out as a happy drunk, hugging and taking photos with fans and signing autographs. But he began losing it after the first hour. At one point, a fan came up to him and told him that he had loved him since [insert name of TV drama]. Instead of politely thanking them, he started yelling 'I'll never get away from that damn show!' He then went on to insult every aspect of the show. Guess he forgot that it was that show that changed his career." [Blind Gossip]

Once Upon An Angel

It can be the best of times or the worst of times, but upfront season always has that perfect mix of magic and suspense. As our favorite prime time dramas go into hibernation for the summer, the networks start releasing teasers for their upcoming line-ups. The networks ache to attract viewers by throwing in some familiar faces and recognizable story lines. This season, there are two ABC series that stood out in my mind: Once Upon A Time and Charlie's Angels.

The title may sound time, but Once Upon A Time is not your average bedtime story. Welcome to a world where fairytales are real. Anna Swan (Jennifer Morrison) is like any other 28-year-old, until she discovers that she's a lost princess destined to save her world from darkness. Co-starring Ginnifer Goodwin, the whimsical series was developed by Adam Horowitz, one of the masterminds behind LOST. Need more? You'll have to tune in for a thrilling twist on our most beloved stories, coming this fall.

The infamous 1970's series is back with more action, more eye candy and more heart than ever before. Enter the world of Charlie's Angels - three ex-bad girls that are earning their wings by busting the bad guys. Starring Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh, the updated angels are just as gorgeous as their predecessors. Judging by the teaser video, producers Leonard Goldberg and Drew Barrymore made sure to include modern touches in their newly minted series. What I want to know is if we'll finally get a peek at the illustrious Charlie. Only time will tell, my darlings.

Chuck and Blair

I love them.

Ashton in Charge

With Charlie Sheen still waging his war against CBS, Ashton Kutcher has been cast as his replacement on Two and a Half Men. A seemingly random choice as the two leading men could not be more different, but Ashton is determined to shine in his new role. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen, but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!" Kutcher said in a statement.

Wedging the knife even farther into Sheen's back, the show's creator, and Charlie's nemesis, Chuck Lorre said, "We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family."

Charlie's reaction to the news: "Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer... Oh wait, so am I! Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there."

Goodbye Walkers

At least they're leaving on a high note. Following last week's heartwarming season finale, ABC announced that it cancelled Brothers & Sisters. The show, which has been on air for five seasons, starred Sally Field, Calista Flockhart, Balthazar Getty, Rachel Griffith, Matthew Rhys and Dave Annable. The final episode brought the whole family together for Sarah' wedding and thankfully ended without a cliffhanger. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will miss the Walkers.

ABC also announced that it's cancelling No Ordinary Family, Off The Map (Mamie Gummer, Rachelle Lefevre), Mr. Sunshine (Matthew Perry, who's working on his sobriety) and V.

Jaw Drop

Photo via popeater.com
With the internet buzzing about her new look, Bristol Palin came clean about her plastic surgery. The reality star and abstinence advocate told Us Weekly that she had corrective jaw surgery in December 2010. She admits that "it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons...so my jaw and teeth could properly realign...I don't obsess over my face."

This may be true, but I find the timing suspect. Bristol recently announced that she'll be starring in a new reality show with Kyle Massey and his brother. She's been on television a handful of times, but she'll be much more exposed now. I'm not arguing that the surgery wasn't medically necessary, but I do think that she timed the surgery and the recovery period for filming. Also of note: Bristol debuted her new face right after the show was announced.

What do you think of Bristol's new look?

Winning

Charlie Sheen is in it to win it. The troubled actor has had an immense amount of media attention focused on him in recent months. After getting fired from his hit show Two and a Half Men, moving in with the goddesses, losing custody of his sons and embarking on a North American tour, Charlie is now focusing his act on music.

The bad boy teamed up with Snoop Dogg on the new single Winning. The single is available for download via iTunes and a portion of proceeds will benefit "Torpedos Against Tornados," the foundation Charlie set up for victims of the tornadoes in the South last month. Reviews for his shows weren't great, but looking forward to hearing the reaction to the song!

Something Borrowed

One of the greatest joys of reading a book is picturing the story come to life in your head. I always inadvertently cast the book's characters using my favorite actors and actresses. One of my favorite books is Emily Giffin's Something Borrowed and its sequel, Something Blue. I was thrilled to hear that Something Borrowed was being turned into a feature film, but was nervous that the big screen adaptation wouldn't live up to the movie I created in my head. I attended the opening night screen (patience is not my strong suit) and I was thrilled with the outcome. While some elements of the book were changed for the movie - read: Ethan's character - I was so impressed with how Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson and Colin Egglesfield brought the characters to life.

If you haven't seen Something Borrowed yet, I suggest you make your way over to the nearest movie theatre now!

American Outlaw

Jesse James confessed his affair to Sandra Bullock in his office at West Coast Choppers. Sandra's publicist warned him that one of his mistresses had sold the story of their affair to a tabloid magazine, and Jesse finally decided to come clean. In his new memoir, American Outlaw, Jesse writes,

"I admitted the affair. I told her the hard details. I let her know that I had never loved this woman, that I had never cared for her at all. The feeling of shame and sadness that washed over me as Sandy began to cry was almost beyond measure... I didn't touch her. I sat frozen in my chair, watching, as Sandy's small body shook with sobs. Sandy rose to her feet. She unfolded her sunglasses and put them on her face. She walked steadily and purposefully to the front of the shop, opened the heavy, metal door. For a moment, the sunlight enveloped her. The door closed behind her, and she was gone."

Quite the Hollywood ending!

3, 2, 1, Action!

Are you the next Steven Spielberg, Woody Allen or Martin Scorsese? Air Canada's enRoute Film Festival is inviting Canadian film students and emerging filmmakers to enter its fifth annual short ilm festival.

Each year, a jury selects the best short films and broadcasts them to a large international audience on Air Canada's inflight entertainment system. The best part?  The winner of the Best Short Film will receive a $5,000 cash prize and all award winners will receive a destination prize to the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France!

This year's jury will be revealed in the summer, but past members have included Jason Priestly, Donald Sutherland, Alan Cumming and Dan Aykroyd.

Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, May 31, 2011. For more information, visit www.enroutefilm.com.

Lose the Stubble

Be hair-free, just like Bar Rafaeli
With summer quickly approaching it's time to get pampering. There's nothing worse than throwing on your new bikini only to realize that you forget to tweeze, shave or wax. While traditional hair removal methods are time consuming and ineffective, laser hair removal will take away that pesky stubble once and for all.

Laser hair removal isn't cheap, but TeamBuy.ca has a great deal to keep us hair-free forever. From May 6 to May 9, 12 live TeamBuy.ca cities across Canada will have access to unlimited laser hair removal for one year for $275 or less. For anyone who has lasered before (me!), you'll know that this is a great deal. Buyers can treat up to three body parts per session. If you're nervous about the laser, no need to worry - it's relatively pain free. See you at the beach!

Moroccan and Monroe

Mimicking the Kardashian Ks, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have used Ms for the names of their newborn twins: Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon. Thoughts?

A Message to My 16 Year Old Self

As an avid sun tanner, it takes a lot to get my attention. I know the dangers of sun exposure, but I find that basking in the heat is the only way to truly relax. I make annual pilgrimages to warm climates in the winter. In the summer, you can find me on a lounge chair, Kindle in hand, enjoying the rays. While I try to be vigilant about applying sunscreen, I have been known to forget it. After watching this touching PSA, I'll be sure to slather on the sunscreen this summer and will try to limit my time in the sun.

MET Gala: Worst Dressed

Photo via People.com
Alicia Keys disappoints in her head-to-toe chocolate ensemble from Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Risci. Boleros are never a good idea...

Photo via People.com
It may be spring, but there's no excuse for Sofia Vergara's embroidered flower. The Modern Family actress wore a Carolina Herrera strapless dress with the MET Gala, but I wish she had left the flower print off the gown. With her curves, the less distractions, the better.

Photo via People.com
The usually ravishing Rashida Jones looked frumpy in her burgundy strapless Stella McCartney gown. Her unique headband should have upped the ante on her look, but at an event full of dramatic couture, Rashida failed to bring the glamour.

MET Gala: Flower Power

Photo via People.com
Dakota Fanning must be the envy of high schoolers everywhere. The 17-year-old attended the MET Gala in a Valentino gown, while her friends are likely buying prom dresses off the rack. While the youthful dress is perfect for the blond beauty, Dakota needs to up the drama with her hair and make-up next time.

MET Gala: Emerald Pixie

Photo via People.com
Onlookers were green with envy after Ginnifer Goodwin walked onto the red carpet in this plunging emerald Topshop dress. The Something Borrowed actress accessorized her daring dress with Van Cleef & Arpels necklace, earrings and rings.

MET Gala: Glee on Fire

Roommates and co-stars Lea Michele and Dianna Agron seem to have the same taste in fashion. The Glee beauties donned matching red gowns at the MET Gala, with Lea in Escada and Dianna in Michael Kors. So, who wore it better?

MET Gala: Old School Glamour

A petite Nicole Richie went for classic, old Hollywood glamour with her cream Jason Wu gown at the MET Gala. Doesn't she look stunning?

MET Gala: SJP in McQueen

Sarah Jessica Parker honoured the MET Gala's theme of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty by donning a creation from the designer. The sparkling gown provided a dazzling contrast against the red carpet. Can this dress be converted into a handbag? I would totally buy it.

MET Gala: King and Queen

Queen B and King Jay-Z made a grand entrance on the MET Gala red carpet. Beyonce looked regal in a black and gold Pucci gown while her husband Jay-Z looked dapper in his tuxedo. What do you think of their looks?

MET Gala: Pregnancy Glow

A radiant Kate Hudson dazzled in Stella McCartney at the MET Gala. The pregnant actress accessorized her gold gown with a growing bump and a jeweled headpiece.

MET Gala: Model Behavior

Gisele Bundchen made quite the statement in her red Alexander McQueen gown. Opting to forego jewellery, Gisele had her best accessory on display at the 2011 MET Gala: husband Tom Brady.

MET Gala: The Olsens

Designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are known for their eccentric outfits, so it should come as no surprise that they showed up to the 2011 MET Gala looking like this. Mary-Kate's red vintage dress was too frumpy while the usually conservative Ashley opted to show some skin in her black gown with oversize ivory sleeves. The twin powerhouses may have multimillion dollar clothing lines, but they are in desperate need of more refined looks.

MET Gala: Crimson Kristen

Image via popsugar.com
With boyfriend Robert Pattinson stuck overseas in London, Kristen Stewart arrived at the 2011 MET Gala solo. Donning a crimson Proenza Shouler gown, Kristen actually looks like she put some effort into her look for once. Now that she's got the clothes down, it's time to get to work on her hair. There's always next year...

MET Gala: Here Comes the Bride

Photo via popsugar.com
Are Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom planning to renew their vows? The new parents hit the 2011 MET Gala in a white Marchesa mini and a polka-dot detailed tux. They look positively glowing!

MET Gala: Pink It Up

Photo via popsugar.com
Jennifer Lopez's magenta Gucci number provided a nice contrast to the red carpet at the 2011 MET Gala. The daring dress showed a sliver of her infamous abs, although it's definitely not a throwback to her Jenny on the Block days. What do you think of the look?

MET Gala: Chanel Siren

Chanel has always been a girl's best friend, and Blake Lively is no exception. The new redhead accessorized her sparkly, nude and gray Chanel number with designer Karl Lagerfeld at the 2011 MET Gala. Some girls have all the luck...

MET Gala: The It Girl

Photo via popsugar.com
It designer Sarah Burton arrived at the MET Gala in an angelic white Alexander McQueen gown. The designer became a household name after designing Kate Middleton's wedding dresses, but tonight she'll be honouring the late McQueen at the ball. Can't wait to see which bride she dresses next.

MET Gala: Tory Power

Photo via popsugar.com
Designer Tory Burch was flanked by two of her star fans, Kristen Bell and Isla Fisher, at the 2011 MET Gala. All three ladies looked stunning in their Tory originals, but it's Isla's strapless blue gown that really stood out against the red carpet. Which look do you like best?

MET Gala: A Leg Up

Photo via popsugar.com
Between the eye candy on her arm and her gorgeous gam, Diane Kruger easily has one of the most memorable looks of the night. The actress stunned at the 2011 MET Gala in Jason Wu. Joshua Jackson looks pretty spiffy too. Love them.

Twilight: Love Fest

On-and-offscreen lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reprised their roles as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan for the final instalment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Will their love last or will it dwindle after the movie premieres?
