Newsweek: Diana at 50

The world has always been fascinated with the people's princesses, but Newsweek is taking this obsession to a new level. The cover of their latest issue features an image of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, walking alongside her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Princess Diana died nearly 14 years ago. While the fascination with her life and death has only increased since Prince William and Kate's royal wedding, Newsweek showed a blatant lack of class and disrespect by superimposing an aged image of the late Princess Di alongside Kate (note: Princess Diana replaces Pippa from the original picture).

The cover story, titled "Diana at 50: If She Were Here Now," notes that the Princess would be chilling with the Middletons and tweeting from Davos if not for that tragic night. Excuse me? This is the most ridiculous article I have ever read. Arguably, it was written to grab people's attention and put the spotlight back on Newsweek, but it's utter garbage. "There is no doubt she would have kept her chin taut with strategic Botox shots and her bare arms buff from the gym," reads the article.

The cover of Newsweek has already made the rounds in the social media sphere, and I have yet to see one supporter. What do you think: did Newsweek take it too far?
