Picture Perfect

I wasn't sure what to make of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. The hipster seemed like an unlikely choice for our favourite friend, but these pictures changed everything. Terry Richardson snapped these causal shots of the couple following Aniston's premiere of Five and not even I can deny their intese chemistry. Jen is glowing. I love it.

With an A-List cast, Butter was one of my favorite TIFF movies this year.

Lipstick Jungle

Looks like Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Kingston Rossdale both have a penchant for blush. The pint-size celebrities and their families (including moms Gwen Stefani and Angelina Jolie and siblings Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt) had a play date in North London. Shi and King would totally put Jelena to shame.

XOXO

The Upper East Siders are back. Tune in tonight.

Kendall's Back

After 41 years of love, betrayal and tragedy, All My Children finally went off the air last week. To celebrate the momentous and bittersweet occasion, many former cast members returned to the soap opera to bid adieu.

Sarah Michele Gellar made a name for herself as Kendall Hart Lang on All My Children and returned to the soap in its final week. Her return role is as a crazy girl who believes that she is Erica Kane's daughter. The twist: she sees vampires. The vampire bit and the "I saw vampires before they were cool" bit were genius, given that Sarah Michelle made the living dead cool on Buffy way before Twilight pandemonium hit. Critics are already buzzing about a possible daytime Emmy for SMG. What do you think of her return?

Planning for the future already Jelena?

This picture of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez posting with six babies has been making the rounds online since Justin posted it on Twitter. They do make a cute couple!

Go Jim Go

photo via people.com
My favorite science nerds return to the small screen in The Big Bang Theory this Thursday. Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper) took centre stage last night at the Emmy awards, picking up the statue for best actor in a comedy series. Costar Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hafstadter) was also nominated, and you can see how that turned out in the video below...

Prom Queen

Last night's Emmy Awards turned into prom. Amy Poehler (Parks and Rec) started the competition, as she ran onto the stage after Rob Lowe and Sofia Vergara started announcing the leading actress in a comedy series award. Fellow nominees Melissa McCarthy (Mike and Molly), Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), Tina Fey (30 Rock), Laura Linney (The Big C) joined Amy onstage as the crowed gave the actresses a standing ovation.

Melissa McCarthy was crowned Queen of the Emmys, complete with a tiara and bouquet of roses. It was like prom come to life. Don't you love it?

A Little Much

photo via celebuzz.com
Anyone else think 13-year-old Ariel Winter is too young to be wearing this cleavage-bearing rose dress? She has her entire life in front of her. I do. Leave the provocative clothing for later, Ariel, and enjoy your youth.

Golden Girl

photo via people.com
All Cat Deeley needs to accessorize her winning outfit with is an Emmy! The So You Think You Can Dance host looked stunning in her Monique Lhuillier gown and Bulgari jewellery. The hair, the tan, the dress, the jewels, the clutch - it all works. Bravo.

Perfect Fit

photo via people.com
This coral Vera Wang gown was made for Sofia Vergara. The Modern Family beauty accessorized her body hugging dress with "huge" Columbian emerald earrings. Boys - eat your hearts out.

Sapphire Pop

photo via celebrity-gossip.net
The sapphire Roksanda Ilincic gown was the perfect colour for Dianna Agron, but the cut was all wrong. While I love her updo and earrings, the dress just doesn't wow me. The Glee star should have worn something similar to her Golden Globes dress. What do you think?

Pin Thin

photo via celebrity-gossip.net
Julie Bowen had twins and still looks like this. Let's just not talk about it anymore.

PS she also won the Emmy for lead actress in a comedy series. Duh.

Joey Goes Red

photo via popsugar.com
Katie Holmes channeled her inner Joey Potter at the Emmys. Her blue Calvin Klein dress and topknot were casual and cool, popping agains the red carpet. The presenter was definitely low key compared to her fellow actresses.

Comedic Couple

photo via popsufar.com
The King and Queen of comedy - Will Arnett and Amy Poehler - made a handsome pair on the red carpet. The midnight blue Peter Sorn popped on Amy, while Will looked dashing in his tuxedo. Their best hijink of the night? Stealing Ryan Seacrest's notes.

Pucci Cut

photo via popsugar.com
Gwyneth Paltrow is famous for showing skin on the red carpet, but this look just doesn't work. The Glee star's Pucci dress has a misplaced cutout in the rib area, breaking up her lean physique. Why oh why couldn't Pucci have left the dress in one piece? Gwyneth better not make it onto any best dressed lists in this

Red Hot

photo via popsugar.com
Red ruled the carpet at this year's Emmy awards. Lea Michele stunned in Marchesa and Nina Dobrev was red hot in Donna Karan. While I love the detailing on Lea's shoulders, I'm partial to Nina's dramatic strapless dress. Which do you prefer?

Butter Triangle

Photo via flickr
Who knew a movie about butter could be so enticing? Jennifer Garner, Olivia Wilde, Alicia Silverstone and Ashley Greene did. The leading ladies walked yellow carpet at the pre-party and the red carpet at last night's Butter premiere. The hilarious film about the high-stakes world of competitive butter carving is a definite must see. The always gracious, and glowingly pregnant, Jennifer Garner told the audience it was her dream to premiere the film at TIFF. Wish granted!

The comedic film may have had the audience entranced, but I was focusing on something with a little more drama. Jessica Biel, who is filming in Toronto, made a surprise appearance at Butter to support her friend and Valentine's Day co-star Jennifer Garner. Where's the drama, you might be asking? It has a little something to do with her on-off again boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, and one of his pre and post-Jessica Biel conquests. Justin is rumoured to have cheated on Jessica with Butter star Olivia Wilde. Still following? It's also rumored that the duo hooked up after Justin and Jessica officially split.

I understand that Jessica's appearance at the gala was to support Jennifer, but it also seemed a little territorial. Jennifer and Olivia seemed quite friendly, even sitting together at the screening. When the film ended, Jessica rushed to Jennifer's side and exited the two exited the theatre together. No word on if Jessica or Olivia acknowledged each other, but I think it's safe to assume that the JT exes stayed at opposite ends of the room.

Missoni for Target

I was one of the lucky few who managed to snag her picks from the Missoni for Target line. The affordable prints caused the Target website to crash at 7:30 am, but an early wake up call led to shopping success for me (thanks Stef!). I won't be able to bring my purchases home from the U.S. until December, but at least I have these pictures to swoon over...

Hydrangeas For Sale

Want some advice? Never give Madonna hydrangeas.

The queen of pop threw a hissy fit at the Venice Film Festival last week when a fan handed her hydrangeas at the premiere screening of W.E. Dropping the flowers on the floor, she rolled her eyes and told the person next to her that she "absolutely loathed" the flowers. Sweet, right?

If anyone has the right to be a bitch, it's Madonna. She responded to the hydrangea controversy by posting a silent film on YouTube. After apologizing to the bouquet of flowers, she then exclaims (again!) how much she hates them. Pure Madge.

TIFF 2011: Drive

It's impossible not to have a major crush on Ryan Gosling. The Canadian actor, who lists Toronto as his hometown on Twitter, captured our hearts in The Notebook and Crazy Stupid Love. He's easy to fall in lust with, as I did yet again sitting two seats away from him at last night's Drive gala.

With his mom as his date, Ryan was a definite crowd pleaser. While the film is very guy-friendly, the majority of the Drive attendees were women hoping to get a glimpse of the Canadian cutie. Gosling was seated in the middle of the theatre and cracked jokes with director Nicholas Winding throughout the screening. My favorite part was the wave he gave me when he sat down!

Drive was exceptional. It was the perfect mix of action and drama and staring at Ryan Gosling's face throughout the film didn't hurt either. There are a few gory scenes, but Drive would make the perfect date night - car chases for him and Gosling for her. Look out for it in a theatre near you.

TIFF 2011: Heather Graham

The traffic may be worse than usual, but TIFF is still my favorite time of the year in Toronto. Cadillac picked me up for today's screening of The Flying Machine and meet and greet with Heather Graham. The CTS4 was such a sleek ride - it made me rethink my SUV-only stance. The car dropped my sister and me off at TIFF Bell Lightbox to meet some of my fellow bloggers for the North American premiere of the film.

The Flying Machine was a fantastic film. It combined 3D sto-motion animation and live action with the music of Frederyk Chopin. The family-friendly film was a definite crowed-pleaser. Following the screening and Q&A, a handful of us were invited to a private press conference and meet and greet with Heather Graham.

Heather was lovely. Although she's appeared in a few family-friendly films lately, she's better known for Austin Powers, The Hangover and Boogie Nights. She graciously answered everyone's questions, including the difficulties of filming with a blue screen (mine!) and her favorite part of working with kids.

TIFF 2011: Oh George

George Clooney is timeless. His acting is extraordinary, his warm personality is inviting and he's pretty easy on the eyes. This silver fox is so celebrated that Alexander Payne, the director of The Descendants, nicknamed TIFF the "George Clooney Film Festival." The man has it all - including new girlfriend Stacy Keibler - but there's one thing he was missing last night: an answer.

I stumped George Clooney. Really, I did.

The world premiere of The Descendants was held at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto last night. George Clooney made sure to work the crowds, showing off his pearly whites and and touching some fans' hand. I really didn't think I could do any better than having my hand touched by George Clooney. It was a George Clooney fan's dream come true. But boy did my night improve.

Following the screening of the film, George Clooney, Alexander Payne and other cast members of The Descendants took the stage for a brief Q&A. This A-Lister stood up and was chosen by TIFF co-director Cameron Bailey to ask a question. So, I took a deep breath, and asked George Clooney my question:

"George, we haven't seen you play a family man for quite some time. What drew you to this role?"

Well, my question certainly drew some laughs from the crowd. Even George Clooney was laughing on stage! He was a little lost for words and stalled by muttering "um" a few times while laughing. When he finally answered, George Clooney stared directly at me and joked that he's not a great family man. He then said that he never viewed his character in The Descendants as a "family man," rather he was drawn to the story. Good answer, don't you think?

And that, A-Listers, is my George Clooney experience.

Update: Reuters posted a story about my question!

Home Improvement

Photo via people.com
The cast of Home Improvement reunited at a photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly. The show ran from 1991 to 1999 and it seems that not a lot has changed...
- Patricia Richardson looks younger now than she did as the mother of three boys on the show
- Jonathan Taylor Thomas (aka my first crush) does not look good as a brunette
- Taran Noah Smith (Mark Taylor) looks the exact same as he did in 1991
- Tim Allen still looks like a proud dad

Do you miss Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor?

Forever is Only the Beginning

Team Edward.

TIFF 2011: The Flying Machine (Giveaway!)

It's no secret that TIFF is my favourite time of the year in Toronto. The star wattage is at an all time high and I love immersing myself in the world of film. While I'm generally prone to choosing films with guaranteed A-List attendance, I decided to branch out from my comfort zone this year.

The reason: The Flying Machine. The TIFF film combines 3D stop-motion animation, live action and the music of Frederyk Chopin - a true fantasy adventure. The film stars Heather Graham, who I will be meeting at the premiere, and famed pianist Lang Lang who will be introducing Chopin to new audiences in the modern fairy tale.

My busy schedule has only allowed me to watch the first thirty minutes of the film, but I'm excited to continue the adventure at TIFF. I'm already blown away by the stunning graphics, music and acting of the stellar cast. After all, what's not to like about Heather Graham and animation?

I also love how the animation portions of the film have no script - they let the music and movements tell the story. It's nice to have the opportunity to enjoy the character development through movement and music - rather than repetitive script. I've also been pleasantly surprised by my admiration for Chopin and Lang Lang - I'm generally not into classical music!

A more in depth review will come next week, but I hope this teaser leaves you wanting more. The wonderful people at BreakThru Films have given me an advance copy of The Flying Machine to share with you A Listers! Details below...

Pippa in the Rain

Strutting in the rain? Royal wedding sensation Pippa Middleton was out and about in the London rain on Tuesday. The sister of Duchess Kate carried her coffee, laptop and umbrella while rocking weather appropriate boots, jacket and white dress. Love her.

Natural Enhancement

Photo via cosmeticsurgerytoday.com
If you're anything like me, you must be terrified of going under the knife. Really - I don't always understand why people choose to have elective surgery. I'm not saying I haven't considered it, or begged my parents to let me get a few things tweaked, but in the end my fear of needles, knives and pain always won.

One of the most common elective procedures is breast enhancements. Countless girls elect to upgrade their natural cup sizes in hopes of filling out a bikini. If you're anything like Heidi Montag, you'll even go to extreme lengths to enhance what nature gave you. For those of us not willing to be cut open and filled with silicone, there's Soul Beautiful.

Soul Beautiful gives women the opportunity to illuminate their beauty and confidence with a little lift. The company's line of breast enhancers gives women the option increase their bust size by one to two sizes. They even have waterproof ones for bathing suits! I'm not looking to go any bigger, but it is fun to have the option!

The company sent me a couple of products to try out, including the breast enhancers and decorative bra straps. While I'm not one to bedazzle my straps, I know lots of girls who love to jazz them up. Soul Beautiful's product line provides women with everything they need to look their best. Take the fashion tape, extender hooks or nipple covers - they would solve SO many red carpet nip-slips. And the Strap Solutions bra extender - genius!

This TIFF season, turn to Soul Beautiful to help you look your best. Hide those bra straps and give the girls a boost. After all, you have George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling to impress...

*Soul Beautiful provided me with products for this review. All opinions are my own.
